The Girl with the Bicycle....

The Girl with the Bicycle....

“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.”
Louisa May Alcott

She was laying her foundation strong, one dream at a time. She had this small dream to fulfill during that period.

She was 12 and the Bicycle was one prized possession she owned. She would go to the Bazaar, take her wounded sister to the doctor and stroll around in the village on the very same Bicycle. All she wanted was a better Bicycle which she would ride to her school about 3kms away.

What's important is, she wanted to earn it rather than troubling her parents about it. Her voice had a sense of determination and sincerity when she spoke the words  "Appi Hamein bus isse behtar ek cycle khareedni hai." She said she might take tutions of younger kids in the village. I knew she could, as she had an impressive academics taking in consideration the education curriculum there. In the long run she wants to be a teacher, wants to teach mathematics.

I saw a teacher in her already, she taught me about dreams - they are not restricted to an age group!
Being a self proclaimed dreamer myself, I love to see people saying it with passion "I want to be a ............". I wish her to become a successful teacher and also inspire other.

There's Greed and then there's Aspiration! The better the latter is inculcated in a person the better the world would become.

Go Ahead and Dream On, Dreamers! Because these dreams would give you wings to fly.

Do tell me what's your Bicycle! :)
